Mississippi Chicken recipe
Mississippi Chicken is a flavorful, easy-to-make dish perfect for a weeknight dinner. It combines the savory flavors of chicken, ranch dressing, au jus gravy mix, pepperoncini peppers, and butter. Here’s a simple recipe to try:
Four boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 – 2 pounds)
One packet (1 oz) of dry ranch dressing mix
One packet (1 oz) au jus gravy mix
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, cut into slices
6-8 whole pepperoncini peppers
1/4 cup pepperoncini juice (optional for added flavor)
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Place the chicken breasts in a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Mix the dry ranch dressing mix and au jus gravy mix in a small bowl.
Sprinkle the seasoning mixture evenly over the chicken breasts.
Arrange the sliced butter on top of the chicken.
Scatter the whole pepperoncini peppers around the chicken. If desired, drizzle the pepperoncini juice over the chicken for added flavor.
Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) when tested with a meat thermometer.
Remove the foil and bake for 5-10 minutes to slightly brown the top of the chicken.
Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving.
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with your favorite side dishes, such as mashed potatoes, rice, or steamed vegetables.
Enjoy your Mississippi Chicken!
